Welcome to Goodwood Marshals Club
Without marshals, there wouldn't be much motor sport. From the pits and paddock to the trackside, marshals are the essential volunteers who make race meetings run. From service halts to stop lines, they keep rallies on the rails and at sprints and trials they will be doing everything from essential administrative work to providing life-saving safety cover.
For those wishing to become involved with motor sport - but not as a competitor, there can be no better introduction than as a marshal!Read more
Such sad news to bring you today as we hear of the passing of Bob Sayers, one of the clubs founding members from back in October 1998. Bob was a regular member of the Marshal teams at Woodcote for The Goodwood Revival, Molecomb corner at Goodwood Festival of Speed, various Sprints at Goodwood Motor Circuit and race meetings at Brands Hatch and elsewhere.
Bob was one of those characters who was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him.
From all of us at Goodwood Marshals Club, our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Rest In Peace Bob, thank you for everything you've done, you'll be missed!
